Refresh

Our Approach With This Project

This project demonstrates how interior design updates can maximize style and our client's investment, creating a family and pet friendly elevated home. Knowing our client's were going to downsize in the future and  didn't want a full renovation, in our design we thoughtfully blended existing elements with modern updates to create a timeless, livable luxury design. We retained most of the original cabinetry, flooring and backsplash while introducing quartz countertops, upgraded hardware and a custom beverage and coffee station for their everyday needs. A new seating and conversational area with swivel chairs and stylish side table with area rug is the most used space in the home. New dining room chairs , island pendant lights, sconces and chandelier really elevated the look to feel more modern and current. We softened and enhanced the space by adding in custom drapery side panels in a beautiful pattern that brought together the entire colour scheme and new paint colour.

In the family room refresh a new furniture layout was needed along with new furniture seating. Custom recliners , that don't look like recliners as per our client's request. We made sure the fabrics were not only attractive but durable. We used the client's existing colourful area rug as inspiration for the paint and colour pallet . We also layered in new pillows and lighting for a cohesive look. The addition of a new tv console and large ottoman now invites all of the family members in to gather and enjoy. Livable luxury pieces and textiles ensure this to be a place to enjoy for years to come.

The front foyer only needed simple but visually dramatic changes. New paint on the walls, trim , and new black paint colour on the handrail and furniture really freshened up the space. The timeless herringbone carpet stair runner was a great addition in making the entrance more stately. An entrance worthy of the word estate.

The powder room was a was quick fix with high impact introducing a bold wallpaper.  Only drama here with co-ordinating dark trim and door paint to set off the wallpaper. Now an unforgettable space.

This country refresh shows you that you don't need to tear things down and rip things out to make a space feel more current and updated.
